What will they think of us, you and I here at the turn of the century; what will they make of us when time has slipped by and we are but a page in the history books? Will they frown and shake their heads as we do now when comprehending the inaccuracies and insanities of yesteryear?
How will reasons light label us? The new dark ages; that time when no one held out the hand of friendship and fretted over the need to call a manhole a person hole?
Will the future view us from some safe distance and breath a heavy sigh that such barbarism has long since past? Will they have finally learned and moved on to better and more glorious times? Are we a building block toward such a future? Or are we meant to continue stumbling along pointlessly poisoning each other’s lives? Doomed to eternal stupidity because we could not look up and see the road? Or, this is the darkest hour before the dawn?
