Vaccinations set a wall between us and such deadly and crippling diseases as Pertussis and Poliomyelitis to name but two.
While it is true that an individual not vaccinated and living within a community of vaccinated individuals may not contract a preventable disease it is also true that that person represents a crack in the wall; opening society to the threat of invasion by such pathogens. It does not mean that vaccinations are suddenly unnecessary.
I am not a scientist but I can understand the mechanics of an issue or a problem once I have the facts in front of me. These days that is not hard to do; so it is amazing to me that people only grab bite size chunks and extrapolate into realms of total fantasy. 1+ ? does not equal 2 unless you know you have to add 1.
