It was labeled the war to end, end and end all wars; millions died hideously to make it so.
Then came the next war and the next and the one after that.
We gave our lives by the millions so that we may live free and at peace yet still we give, give and give.
I remember those that suffered, those that paid the highest price and those left behind to grieve to cry, cry and cry.
I am angry now watching the evil warlords waging war so that we may die, die and forever die as they profit!
If I could I would damn the warlords; damn every last one, damn them and their evil forever, forever and forever.
Eloquently put, Bagowicks. My 17 year old great-uncle died at Ypres, my grandad (20 years old was saved by an irish nurse (una – who my mother was named after) who dragged him out of “no-mans-land” (both in the War to end all wars) my dad was a peace keeper in the congo (1960) and my mother was a ‘code cracker” in WWII – where has it got us?????????????????
