Ya know I dont care what the liberals may or may not have done I will vote for them this coming provincial election. Why?
When a Tory promises the slash and burn the civil service by 100k he his not doing so because it will actually save the province that much money; he is doing it because it is popular. When money is tight blame the civil servants despite what they have they pay for themselves. But knee jerk electorates love a good hanging. Then when a Tory promises one million private sector jobs at minimum wage you have to say “Out of who’s arsehole do you intend to rip that from?”
When a Tory promises anything ask how he intends to pay for it because everything thing has a price tag. Even more so when that Tory is Tim Hudak and looks like the Michael Keaton version of James Cagney (Movie “Johnny Dangerously”) noted portrayer of early 20th century gangsters.
There is a cost to toryism there always is no matter how jingoistically attractive it seems. Reagan decentralized believing the market would govern itself; it never did and has been linked to the root of the chaos that caused the collapse of 2008. Margaret Thatcher promised tax cuts for all and she was as good as her word three and one third percent then more than doubled sales tax. It did not matter that that tax cut meant two or three ponds for the average worker but thousands for the top tier.
Tories lie and no more have the common mans interests at heart than a socialist does that of the businessman’s. To vote Tory is an affront to decency and marks one as a jingoistic reactionary that cannot think beyond lynch mob mentality.
