I have just been reading about the the tragedy of the misnamed Miss. Universe contestant. People wailed about how cruel it all was, some said they should have just kept quiet about it, whilst others prated loudly on the absurdity of beauty pageants. That last comment is a valid one but the true obscenity is that no one has pointed out yet is the supreme arrogance of humanity to have a Miss. Universe contest at all. I mean aside from Canadians and Donald Trump we have yet to meet any aliens so how can we have a queen that is representative of the universes beauty?
